IN CHARACTER
Fandom & Canon Point: Supernatural / During S7. He's pretty much laying low.
Name: Crowley
PB: Mark Sheppard
Species: He claims to be a demon, formerly King of the Crossroads, now King of Hell.
Age: Ageless
Last Known Location: A trailer somewhere in the United States
Inventory: Black suit, waller in his pocket, keys to his car.
Personality: Crowley is a slimy, smarmy, egotistical bastard. He enjoys irony and what not. As King of the Crossroads, Crowley is a demon who assists humans in making deals, generally taking their soul in return for something they want really, really badly. Crowley likes to handle the "big fish" himself, personally seeing to the deals made by humans with power and or prestige.
Crowley goes to great lengths to protect himself, yet seems fearless in the face of danger. The home where Sam and Dean Winchester track him is protected by Enochian Sigils, and while the boys are held back by his lower-level demon guards, he kills the demons with the Colt, then gives the gun to the boys without much concern they could kill him. (Of course he vanishes before they have a chance to load the gun, but still.)
Crowley is something of an opportunist, illustrated when he sets Dean up as bait, to capture another demon (without telling Dean the plan). When a hell hound tracks him and threatens the Winchesters, Crowley sets his own rather large hell hound after the threatening hound, allowing them to get away. It should be noted that Crowley himself simply disappears, willing himself away from the danger.
Crowley is a demon who knows what he wants and goes after it, whatever the cost. He appears to show little compassion to the humans he makes deals with, or in trying to get what he wants, but really that isn't true. He's very good at masking his compassion, so it isn't readily seen. But however briefly he has been seen, Crowley has been seen to care for humanity despite his number one interest being to look out for himself. He may have bargained with Bobby Singer to get possession of the hunter's soul (which he revealed as an insurance policy against the Winchesters, knowing Dean and Sam wouldn't kill him as long as he had Bobby's soul) but he added in a clause to allow Bobby to walk, without Bobby asking for that. While the act and the motive were clearly selfish, he added a bit of a positive, compassionate spin.

Of course it should also be noted that when the situation gets dicey, Crowley disappears. He might do what he can, sort of underhanded, but when it comes down to it he's a bit of a coward, and will cut and run rather than face the danger.
Skills/powers: He's a demon, so his abilities are great and fairly endless. He can't be killed easily. He's not particularly skilled in combat, but he can use some demon magic to his advantage. He's an opportunist, and he knows how to get what he wants. He's a master of bull shitting.
Weaknesses: Salt. Holy water. Humanity. Truth. Love. Loyalty.
